Birding in CNY

Birding in CNY In-Person

Help us welcome Fred Leff from the Montezuma Wetlands Complex to talk about the conversation program at the Audubon NY/CT Centers. Topics covered will include governmental conservation entities, Sandhill and Whooping cranes, and Onondaga Lake.

Last spring, Fred had the opportunity to witness the Sandhill Crane migration in Nebraska, observing the birds as they flew north in the millions from New Mexico and Texas to breed in Canada, Alaska, and Siberia. He will discuss the biology of this migratory animal, as well as other interesting facts!
