The Route 11 Bridge Through the Ages In-Person
Fort Brewerton & Oliver Stevens Blockhouse Museum and NOPL Brewerton Library present a history of the Route 11 Bridge over the Oneida River. Engineer Casey Burns and Curator Donny Abend will delve into the bridge's significance and evolution over many centuries, offering a perfect opportunity to explore the bridge's role in local history, from its early construction to its current replacement project, highlighting its impact on trade, travel, and community development. A time for conversation and questions will follow. Registration is encouraged.
This program will be recorded and uploaded to the NOPL YouTube channel by early July.
The Blockhouse will be open 12-4pm for tours before and after the presentation.
Registrations open at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 7, 2025
