Through live music and storytelling, Brian Heffron explores the role of ballads, marching songs, and other compositions in shaping both the battlefield and the homefront.

Brian Heffron resides in Clay, NY with his wife and three children. He holds a B.A. in History from Middle Tennessee State University and a M.S.Ed. from the College of Saint Rose. His professional experience includes work with the Center for Historic Preservation, the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area, and the Herkimer Home State Historic Site. In addition to his background in public history, Brian has served as a high school social studies teacher and principal, blending his passion for history with a career in education and leadership.
